Bushwhacker Luke, whose real name was Luke Williams and was a longtime friend and tag team partner with Bushwhacker Butch, wrote on Instagram on Monday that Butch had died.
Butch had been alive for 78 years when he died. The reason why the New Zealand fighter died has not been made public until now. But after a few public performances around WrestleMania 39 last week, he was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles.
Luke started his letter by saying, “Bob “Butch” Miller, my friend, brother, and tag-team partner for over 50 years, died late last night. When did Bushwhacker Butch begin wrestling?
Bob Miller was born in New Zealand’s Auckland on October 21, 1944. In the beginning, he started fighting for NWA New Zealand. (later known as All-Star Pro Wrestling). In the 1980s and 1990s, he became well-known as one-half of the tag team The Bushwhackers in WWE.
