Krafton’s statement about BGMI’s return
In its third Earnings Report for 2022, publishing company Krafton updated BGMI. According to Sportskeeda, the company said, “After all, Crafton will keep working on getting Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) services back up and running, and it will also keep putting money into the Indian game market.” In this update, Crafton didn’t say when users will be able to play the BGMI game again, but the company is working on bringing it back.
What the gaming industry said
Warmania CEO Hrishav Bhattacharjee said that BGMI would return to India soon. He also noted that BGMI services will begin in India between December 25, 2022, and the first week of February 2023. Many other people in the gaming industry agreed that BGMI could come back soon.

Krafton’s biggest challenge at the launch
To bring back BGMI’s services, Crafton will have to figure out how to get the game back without putting national security or data privacy at risk. This is why the Government of India passed the Information Technology Act 2000.
