The Post reported that Metropolitan Nashville Police spokesperson Don Aaron said that Kyle was found dead at the couple’s home on Friday after shooting himself.

According to the news release, when Kellie woke up, she couldn’t find her husband, Kyle. Soon after, she and her assistant returned to the house to look for him. They found out that one of the doors upstairs was locked.

Even though I knocked on the door a few times, no one answered. After that, the two people called the police, who arrived at the house just after 1 p.m. local time. And the police found him to be dead.

The songwriter from Minnesota has worked with big names like Kelly Clarkson, Randy Travis, Scott McCreery, Tim McGraw, and George Strait. He even helped the musician Garth Brooks write his smashing hit single More Than A Memory.
