Hit-and-run in Brooklyn hurt 4 children and 1 major

NYPD is looking for a driver who hit a mother and children and then drove away.
NEW YORK: On Wednesday in Brooklyn, a hit-and-run driver hurt five people, including four children.
At Avenue J and New York Avenue in Midwood, police say a driver hit a mother with two kids and two other kids who had just gotten off a school bus.
What happened was caught on the security camera of a neighbor.
In the video, a white car goes too fast on Avenue J and then runs a stop sign. You can see a child get up and run to the side of the road after the crash.
Jojo Johnson says she saw a woman and a child in a stroller get hit by a car.

She told CBS2’s Tim McNicholas, “It was just awful.” “He or she decided to just keep driving and hit the kids, which was like two other kids getting off the bus.”
Police say that one of the victims is a 1-year-old and the other three are 3, 5, and 8 years old. All of them are expected to live, and the mom and one of the kids are in stable condition at the hospital with bruises.
Officers say the driver kept going, abandoned a 2016 white Mercedes at the corner of 24th Street and Glenwood Avenue, then left on foot, leaving a broken Mercedes emblem on Avenue J.
Johnson said, “The mother was screaming so loudly that it sounded like she was calling for help and pleading for her children to be saved.”
Police haven’t said what the white Mercedes-Benz did wrong, but NYPD sources say officers saw it do something wrong and tried to stop it, but the driver took off. The police say that they never followed the Benz.
At least one car can be seen behind the Mercedes in the video. After the crash, people got out of that car to help those hurt.
Johnson said, “It was so scary to know that these children were hurt and hurt.”
The driver who hit and ran is still being looked for.
Police say three of the five hurt people have already left the hospital. Also Read – How senators from both parties worked together to defend same-sex marriage?
