“Gordon loved this country, its people, its purpose, and its culture with all his heart until his last breath,” the statement said. The actor’s three children, Leah, Barry, and Beverly, will only remember him. After a long battle with emphysema, his wife, actress Charmion King, died in 2007.
Pinsent began acting when he was 17 years old. In 1962, he played a supporting role in Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Stratford Festival. In the 1970s, he returned to the festival and played lead roles.
The actor started on TV in 1963 with the soap opera Scarlett Hill. His first movie was Lydia, which came out in 1964.
