Apple releases the 15-inch Macbook Air with M2 prosessor

Apple claims that their newest Macbook Air model, which measures in at 11.5 millimeters in thickness, is the thinnest 15-inch laptop in the world. The computer weighs in at only 1.49 kilos, making it one of the lightest laptops on the market.
Apple boasts that their new laptop weighs in at half a pound less than “a best-selling 15-inch Intel Core i7 PC laptop.” Also, according to Apple, the new Air can last for up to 18 hours on a single charge and is up to 12 times faster than the fastest Intel MacBook Air models. Similar to the 13-inch MacBook Air, the 15-inch variant is driven by an M2 microprocessor. It has a 10-core graphics processing unit (GPU), a 16-core neural engine, and an 8-core CPU with 4 performance and 4 efficiency cores. The laptop has 8GB of unified memory, which can be expanded to a maximum of 24GB.
The M2 processor in the 15-inch MacBook Air allows for an impressive battery life of up to 18 hours. The laptop has a MagSafe charging connector, a USB-C Thunderbolt port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and two USB-C Thunderbolt ports. There are also three microphones and six speakers included in the device.

Apple’s new Macbook will be available in midnight, starlight, space gray, and silver. The 15-inch Air may be ordered now for $1,299 (or $1,199 for educational institutions), and delivery will begin the following week.
